Millennials: what do they really think?
There is a lot of fuss about Millennials in the news today. Some of it is true, some of it isn’t, but what we do know is that they’re a huge population flooding into the workforce and stimulating change.
When listening to comments, on a podcast, from the Chief Experience Officer of a large software company in Silicon Valley, her view was, hold your judgement until you work with them. Her experience has been largely positive – they just want to be kept informed and they keep you honest.
To find out more about what Millennials think Bates surveyed nearly 600 Millennials globally asking them about their preferences on workspace, worktime, and leadership.
Bates mission was to find out the following:
1. What kinds of companies do Millennials want to work for?
2. What kind of leaders do they want to follow?
3. What kind of leaders do they aspire to be?
4. Are they as different from everyone else as the media portrays them?
Authenticity, integrity and concern came up as being their most important qualities for leaders to display.
